Li wrote this piece during his first year of university life. It is a short piece in fleeting 6/8 meter exploring modal scales in melody and harmony. Quartal harmony is often employed. Both violin and cello has a short passage of cadenza. This piece was premiered by Wong Wai, Jamie Jim and Li Cheong in 2000 and it is played again in the Home-coming Concert 2004, organized by CUHK Music Department 2002 Graduates.
