compo concert with Dennis Wu, Wong Kong Yu, & Alfred Wong (18/2)
Intermezzo performed by George, Suite performed by Chu Hang Chun and me.
MAR
未圓驚夢 performed by Ricky in his dizi concert (14/3)
APR
Written an analysis paper on Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen
about Mahler’s use of minor third and major third relationship in the structure.
Made poster for CC annual concert, but postponed due to SARS.
MAY
Sold my bicycle for $20.
APA Short Course on directing and acting, taught by William Yip;
JUNE
“Capriccio” performed by JENGA in RTHK New Generation 2003(5/6);
Art Centre oil painting short course;
Art Centre film editing short course;
Started teaching piano and erhu in Parsons;
joined a drama production of 土房子,
made poster and some recorded background music;
JULY
Start teaching theory grade 8 for a private student of IEd ;
Teaching GCSE composition + theory for a private student in Kowloon Town;
Bought my first DV - Panasonic DS-60;
Joined a short course on DV filming by UMovie;
Joined 灣仔劇團 for a short course on
acting and backstage;
AUGUST
灣仔劇團榕樹下 drama practise;
arranged music for the drama;
The first time in my life to date with a girl, MS;
“Fantasy” for Sheng, Pipa, Keybaord, Bass and Drum Set,
performed by Yin, So Hon To, Simon, Wai, Phoebus in Sheng It Up concert (30/8, 31/8);
Made poster for Law Kit’s concert;
Accompanied Scarlett Tang for her singing exam;
Promised Ross for making music for another computer game, but too busy,
wrote two pieces, but failed to complete all;
SEPTEMBER
榕樹下 performance (12/9)
(First time acting on stage)
watched 土房子 drama (13/9)
榕樹下 re-U (28/9), promised Chu Hei
for joining his drama in Macau Fringe Festival;
Started working part-time for CWL, scanning Messiaen’s Traites;
Improvised in the Bauhinia Concert 2003;
OCTOBER
Tried to arrange music for Chu Hei’s “Antigone”,
but failed to follow and fulfill his always changing ideas;
Went to Shatin once and Macau once for watching drama rehearsals;
Deeply depressed for unable to compose for portfolio;
Bought my first synthesizer - Alesis QS6,
second-hand from Yahoo auctions;
NOVEMBER
Stayed in Macau for two weeks (28/10 - 9/11)
controlling the mixer and playing 簫 in ChuHei’s drama 月影寒松(1-2/11,2/11);
got a birthday present and have a nice day with MS (4-5/11);
Played recorder, keyboard and miscellaneous percussions in ChuHei’s drama “Antigone”(8/11, 9/11);
Accompanied Idy for her saxophone exam (15/11);
watched 再度飛躍紅船 arranged by Phoebus and acted by friends of 榕樹下 (29/11) ;
DECEMBER
completed “Rhapsody” for string quartet;
changed to full-time work for CWL;
declared to defer the composition portfolio;
a nice trip with MS in 山東.
